Digital Smile Design is made using an intraoral scanner and its state-of-the-art software to create a natural and aesthetic smile. The most compatible tooth form with the patient's face, lips and gums and also the most aesthetic tooth color according to patient’s skin color, hair color and their own preference is determined. With Digital Smile Design, the wanted result is shown to the patient before starting the treatment. This result can be manipulated according to the patient’s preference. During the design, the patient has the chance to see how the teeth of different forms and colors will adapt to their face. Afterwards, your physician makes the treatment plan and treatment starts to reach the agreed result. This treatment may include laminate veneers, zirconium crowns (full veneers), bleaching, surgical interventions for gingival aesthetics, or implants. The duration of the treatment depends on the treatment plan. With intraoral scanners, in addition to digital smile design, it is also possible to take digital impressions and plan for digitally produced aesthetic materials such as zirconium veneers or laminate veneers.
